Yet to be Announced 32GB Nexus 7 Lands on Craigslist for $450 [Update]

As I was looking to unload a few of my electronics to add some cash to my new iPad Mini fund, I stumbled across this listing right here on the New York section of Craigslist asking $450 for a yet to be released Nexus 7 32GB tablet.

Ad listing excerpt:

SELLING A BRAND NEW, yet unreleased, Nexus 7 32GB tablet. The box and original packaging are all there.
This tablet is not on sale on any store yet. This is an opportunity to get hands on the latest devise from Google, which is sure to be on short supply when released.

As you can see from the source link, the seller included a few images, but the most important image, seen below, features the storage setting option in Android. After enhancing the image best to our abilities, it appears that the device is indeed a 32GB model with about 27GB of storage available.

 

We reached out to the seller as we are curious what his story is, and how he got his hands on the device. If he is down to talk with us, we will without a doubt share the details with you. With all the numerous leaks, including a $250 price point leak at retailers this week, it is a safe bet we will see a 32GB Nexus 7 update coming at Google’s Android Press Event next week.

 Update: 2:31PM 10/27/12

We have made contact with the seller, he wasn’t very interested in sharing the finer details of the Nexus 7 32GB, but he did share some new images with us seen below. From the images, we can confirm that this Nexus 7 was somehow obtained via Staples, and that it is indeed a 32GB model.

As for the planned Android event for Monday, at which we were expected the announcement of the 32GB Nexus 7, has been canceled due to Hurricane Sandy.
