New Proposed Federal Law May Warn of Cell Phone Radiation
0It is common in this day in age to own a cell phone (or two), but with their popularity, many people forget often times overlook that there may be a chance of health risks associated with the emission of radiation from the devices. While there has been research done, it has shown that the radiation that mobile devices emit are safe or the research has ended up inconclusive. Well there may be a new law that is on the table for the House of Represenatives that proposes a tighter regulation of phone radiation. The law would require new cell phones to have a label on them that would inform the consumers about the amount of radiation device would transmit, the legal limit, and how to reduce it. Before the law is voted on by the house, it has to go through and be approved by a committee (a similar labeling law recently passed in San Francisco). This law is sponsored by Represenative Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio). CTIA is against the law and has decided to boycott the city for future mobile trade shows that have been scheduled there.
