Sparrow to Release iPad App and Other Features
0The Apple world was blown away when the iPhone and Mac app, Sparrow, was released. It is the simple email application that everyone wanted and no one had ever given them.
Sparrow is now ready to release “something big”, as it calls the update on its website. This update is the release of a Sparrow iPad app, along with a few other features in general. Needless to say, Sparrow users are thrilled that the app is going to take advantage of this large market. Everyone is expecting the iPad app to be a fantastic use of the screen’s real estate.
Additionally, push should be among the features that will hopefully be released along with the iPad app. Previously, Sparrow developer Dom Leica stated that push would not be a feasible feature through the native app, since Apple did not fulfill their request for VoIP priviliges. This update, therefore, will have to be run off Sparrow’s servers and will come at a cost for users – a yearly subscription to Sparrow for this particular service.
WWDC is coming in just four days and people are expecting iOS and OS X updates. This is the perfect chance for Sparrow to update its apps and launch on the iPad, all while gaining a significantly larger audience.
